Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-03-20

At ToolsOfTools ("we," "our," or "us"), accessible at toolsoftools.com, we consider the privacy of our visitors and users to be of paramount importance. This Privacy Policy outlines the types of information that are (and are not) received, collected, and recorded by ToolsOfTools and how we prioritize your digital autonomy.

The ToolsOfTools Zero-Knowledge Guarantee

Every calculator, JSON formatter, font converter, unit translator, and image tool on ToolsOfTools executes 100% client-side inside your web browser. Your numbers, financial figures, medical metrics, uploaded files, and pasted texts never leave your device. We do not store, log, inspect, or transmit your calculation payloads to our servers.

1. Information We Do NOT Collect

Unlike conventional web portals that transmit your form submissions to backend databases, our computational tools run using client-side TypeScript, WebAssembly, and native browser APIs (such as the Canvas API and DOMParser). Specifically:

  • No Financial Data Collection: Loan amounts, interest rates, salary figures, investment amounts, and bank balance estimates remain exclusively in your local device RAM.
  • No Health or Biometric Tracking: Weight, height, BMI measurements, and caloric figures are processed client-side and immediately discarded upon tab closure.
  • No File Storage: Uploaded images (JPEG, PNG, WebP) or JSON/XML/text files converted through our tools are processed in memory and never uploaded to any cloud storage or remote server.
  • No User Account or Identity Tracking: We do not require you to register, log in, or provide phone numbers or passwords to use our utilities.

2. Technical Log Files and Infrastructure

Like all standard web servers and content delivery networks (CDNs), our hosting infrastructure may automatically record standard web server request logs when your browser requests static HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and font assets. These log files typically include:

  • Internet Protocol (IP) address (anonymized for DDoS mitigation and geolocation routing);
  • Browser type and version (User-Agent);
  • Referring and exit pages;
  • Date and timestamp of static asset requests.

These technical server logs are strictly utilized for infrastructure health monitoring, DDoS mitigation, bandwidth optimization, and resolving server crashes. They are not linked to any personally identifiable information.

3. Cookies and Local Browser Storage

ToolsOfTools does not deploy intrusive tracking cookies, behavioral tracking pixels, or cross-site fingerprinting mechanisms.

  • Local Storage for UI Preferences: We use the browser's standard localStorage API solely to store your light/dark theme preference and calculator memory keys (e.g., M+ / MR values) so they persist between visits on your own device.
  • Control: You have complete control over this data. You can clear your browser's local storage or cookies at any time through your browser settings without affecting tool availability.

4. Advertising and Third-Party Services

We do not sell, trade, rent, or monetize your personal information or calculation inputs to third-party data brokers. Should third-party privacy-respecting advertising partners be utilized in the future to support free hosting costs, standard non-personalized programmatic banners may be served in accordance with strict Do-Not-Track (DNT) headers and CCPA/GDPR compliance frameworks.

5. Compliance with Global Privacy Regulations

GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation - EU/UK)

Because we operate on a zero-collection architecture and do not process personally identifiable information on our servers, users within the European Union and the United Kingdom enjoy complete inherent privacy. You have the right to request clarification on any operational procedures by emailing our Data Protection Officer.

CCPA / CPRA (California Consumer Privacy Act)

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), California residents are entitled to know what personal data is collected and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal data. ToolsOfTools does not sell, rent, or share personal information with third parties.

6. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

Protecting the privacy of children online is especially important to us. ToolsOfTools is a general audience computational platform suitable for academic and everyday mathematical learning. We do not knowingly collect or solicit any personal information from children under the age of 13 in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

7. Data Security and HTTPS Everywhere

All communication between your device and ToolsOfTools is secured using modern TLS/SSL encryption (HTTPS). Furthermore, we enforce strict security headers, including Content Security Policy (CSP), HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS), and X-Content-Type-Options to protect against cross-site scripting and unauthorized script injection.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may periodically update our Privacy Policy to reflect technical improvements, new security standards, or legislative updates. We encourage users to review this page periodically. Any modifications will be posted here with an updated "Last Updated" date.
